Build a Chest Like the Austrian Oak Arnold Schwarzenegger

 

Before Arnold Schwarzenegger made it big time in movies, he built his bodybuilding career through his large personality, but his even larger pectoral muscles. Arnold Schwarzenegger's chest had it all: size, shape, definition, and proportionality. At a ridiculous 58" and 30 years ahead of its time, Arnold had what is still considered the best chest of all time, even with today's 300 lb. mammoth bodybuilders like Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler. Arnold had the most insane work ethic, working out in the gym for 3-4 hours a day and posing for several hours a day just to perfect his poses.

 

Arnold Schwarzengger's chest routine was fascinating. It would look like the following:


1) Flat Bench Barbell Presses
135 lbs x 30-40 reps; 225 lbs x 20 reps; 275 x 15 reps; 315 x 12; 365 x 8; 405 x 6



2) Incline Barbell Bench Press
225 lbs x 15 reps; 245 lbs x 12; 265 x 12; 285 x 10, 305 x 10




3) Flat Dumbbell Flyes
65 lbs x 15 reps; 75 lbs x 12; 85 lbs x 10; 85 lbs x 10; 85 lbs x 10;



4) Weighted Parallel Bar Dips
5 Sets x 15 reps with an 80 pound dumbbell attached



5) Stiff Arm Pullovers
5 sets of 15 to 20 reps with a 90 pound dumbbell

 

 

To imagine all the weight he was doing by the time he got to his 30th set is unimaginable. Arnold will always be known as the chest master. See if youre man enough to even try this routine with half of his weight.
