Question:

Is MP45 for home training? I got barbells, dumbbells, benches and a bench press. Is that enough equipment to be able to use this program?

Answer from Jaret Grossman, Creator of MP45:

As far as the training in MP45 goes, the principles revolve around the concept of High Intensity Stimulation Training, which requires a certain intensity threshold to be met, achieving a pump in the muscles by creating a mind-muscle connection, and to reach the concept of absolute failure (traditional definitions of this are useless). You can certainly do this with your exercise equipment at home, such as doing pushups, pullups, etc. after you have learned the principles from my program. I actually place a tremendous focus on cardio training at home through the form of sprinting, which you don’t need to belong to a gym to do.

The focus of the program relies on barbell and dumbbell training. However, I highly recommend joining a gym. You truly won’t see half the results by doing exercises at home unless you have a full line of equipment to make sure that every body part is reached and especially where you can go heavy enough doing compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, clean and presses, etc. As I explain in my program, the gym is the best investment you will make towards your life because getting ripped is about a systemic process- while you can do dumbbell bicep curls to work on your biceps, the far better muscle builder is to perform compound movements and stimulate multiple muscle groups with heavy enough weights to produce anabolic hormones, which has the largest effect on producing muscle growth and fat loss throughout your entire body. There are several gyms that you can join for under $30 a month such as Planet Fitness (usually less money than any barbell set costs). You should make the investment in yourself.
