What Fitness Means to Me

Health to me is a matter of additions and subtractions and the timing of each, depending on the circumstance and situation.  With making the decision to compete in the fitness industry around this time last year, I realized that even though the type of physical condition I was in was conducive to becoming a men’s fitness model, there were some things that I would have to have taken away from my life.  Whether voluntarily or involuntarily, it seemed like that life was getting out of control.  Finances seemed to be getting out of whack, friendships that I thought that I had vanished, and family that had always supported me I had unconsciously pushed away.  Furthermore, when resigning from a company after five years of service and giving up a substantial salary increase from being fully vested, some of these same things got out of balance a few months later in other areas of life as well.  On the flipside, whenever there were people that were added to my life or circumstances that were unexpected but needed, I became more pleasant not only on the inside but towards others  as well.  Along with this, when meeting people that would ask me the tough questions in life that would always be there for me, social outlook got better.  Whenever these turning points in the proper time happened, I got off medication that I took for Tourette Syndrome since I was six.  Also, health means knowing who you are and not letting anyone else change you nor worrying about what others think about you, nor playing into it either.

In addition, forgiving others helps more than people think.  In doing all of these things, the things that I do well started to align towards people, places, and a lifestyle that I could use to inspire others.  Last year in the month of June, there was a concept that I came up with on the fly whenever things seemed hopeless called The Taylor Three and later a freelance promotion company called Taylor Three Promotions.  Basically it is person oriented first, products second, and prosperity third.  More specifically, if one doesn’t have that focus in that order, health or the balance thereof might be out of equilibrium.  Generally speaking, when one might make additions and subtractions of their own, their health more than likely will get better in one area or another.  Whether it is physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual health, everyone’s circumstance is different.  It could be that detrimental relationship, or a habit that is not conducive to one’s future, or perhaps having a door opened to a better life but having to overcome the obstacle of what someone thinks about them and not always trying to please others.  Or even cleaning up their diet and exercising more, it varies in many areas of life.  So in conclusion, with varying circumstances and situations in which things are added and subtracted in one’s ife and the timing thereof, this is what health means to me.
