#1- Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning may statistically go down as the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL. Since his rookie year in 1998, Manning has been a top NFL QB for the last 13 NFL seasons. Even at the age of 35, Manning has not lost a step. Until he has one bad year, he will be on top of the game.

#2- Tom Brady

Tom Brady may have had the greatest season in NFL history for any player in 2008. He followed that up last season with the second greatest season of his career, becoming the first player to win the MVP Award unanimously. A Lombardi Trophy has been missing from Brady’s trophy case for the last few years. It looks like he may be due again…

#3- Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson has taken the reigns from LaDainian Tomlinson as the NFL’s best running back. Ever since he entered the league in 2007, Peterson has consistently amazed football fans with his freak athleticism and passion for the game.

#4- Troy Polamalu

Polamalu, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is the glue to the best defense in the NFL. Polamalu is one of the few players who can change the entire course of the game with his playmaking ability. Polamalu is prepped for another huge season if he can stay healthy.

#5- Nnamdi Asomugha

Many deem Nnamdi Asomugha the best cornerback in the league, even over Darrelle Revis. Even Revis himself proclaimed Nnamdi Asomugha as the league’s best cornerback. Asomugha is as soft spoken as they come, playing his entire career in Oakland. Not many people know what Nnamdi can do. To Revis’ 106 times, Asomugha had been thrown at only 28 times during his 2009 campaign. That is a true definition of a shutdown corner; no quarterback takes chances with him.

#6- Darrelle Revis

It’s too close between Revis and Asomugha that they should be next to one another. Darrelle Revis is one of the game’s all-time shutdown cornerbacks.  Other teams change their entire offensive strategies when Revis is on the field. Revis kills the production of every elite receiver he faces and locks down the entire field. Quarterbacks may not want to throw to Asomugha and they can afford to with the Raiders lack of defense. With the Jets potent defense, quarterbacks take chances on Revis and they have nothing to show for it.

#7- Andre Johnson

There is no other wide receiver that can change the course of a game like Andre Johnson. Johnson is a truly a rare breed at the position; his combination of size, strength, speed and catching ability is truly unmatched. Calvin Johnson is the only real threat to Andre Johnson to be the top wide receiver. Until we see him surpass Andre, we have to give Andre Johnson the nod.

#8- Ray Lewis

Ray Lewis is a true field general, a Peyton Manning of the offense. Lewis has some of the best football IQ with his ability to read plays and coverages. Not to mention, Lewis has been one of the most feared hitters in the NFL for the past 15 seasons. His work ethic is unmatched and even though he is aging, he will still make the big plays and hard hits everyone loves.

#9- Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson is electric with the football. His 4.24 40-yard dash time makes him the fastest running back in the NFL. Not only is his speed magnificent, but also his great vision and nose for finding holes makes him practically unstoppable with the football.

#10- Aaron Rodgers

After winning his first Superbowl last season, Aaron Rodgers has propelled himself into elite status. Rodgers consistently has put up incredible numbers and now has the ring to show for it. The sky is the limit for this young quarterback.
