LL Cool J is known for his music and acting ability but he may be equally known for his ripped and muscular physique and his workout routine. LL Cool J offered his exercise secrets in his book called LL Cool J’s Platinum Workout. LL Cool J offers four different workouts for men and one for women along with meal plans and motivational advice. The workouts follow a linear pattern allowing you to build strength and muscle over several weeks. The workout programs are divided into 4 phases, the Bronze Body (for beginners) and the Silver Body, Gold Body and Platinum Body (for more experienced levels). LL Cool J has experienced all of those workouts throughout his life; he mainly focuses on the “Platinum Body” approach.  LL Cool J’s 45-minute workout starts with his personal trainer of over 5 years, Scott Honig. The workout plan was born during LL’s concert tours. The pair would hop out of the tour bus and use whatever they could to workout with. For example, the two went on a football field and did wind sprints followed by pull-ups off a goalpost. Cool J has a simple approach: the harder you work in a shorter amount of time, the more calories you burn. His training routine is designed to build his athleticism during periods of downtime and maintain it for his physically demanding world concert schedule. His training philosophy focuses on building endurance and mobility through a series of athletic movements. He performs treadmill sprints and weighted plyometrics on his lower-body days.

According to an interview with AskMen.com, Nelly goes to the gym about 5 days a week, but it ultimately depends on his schedule. Regardless of if he is able to go to the gym or not, Nelly consistently does around 1,000-1,500 sit-ups and push-ups a day since he can do them anywhere. He also enjoys playing basketball in his free time as a terrific cardio exercise. Nelly prefers machines for a varied workout. He likes military presses for his upper body, weighted crunches for his abdominals and calf raises and squats for his lower body. Nelly prefers to do fewer reps, specifically in the range of six to eat reps, at a higher resistance because he wants to gain muscle mass and not necessarily get lean. Nelly tries to keep healthy but doesn’t really follow a specific diet; he just tries to burn off all those extraneous calories in the gym.

According to an interview with Women’s Health Magazine, Tyrese said, “When you step on the treadmill, make a commitment. Do, say, 3 miles a day. And don't get off until you finish. It doesn't matter what speed you're going. Just don't get off. You don't have to keep up with all the people around, running all fast and doing their thing. Just do your thing. When he got back into the music scene, Eminem got heavily involved in running on a treadmill almost to the point of making it a healthy obsession. He ran up to 17 miles a day but eventually forced himself to do less so that he wouldn’t overtrain. “I’ve been running a lot, taking care of myself. A lot of cardio. I’m actually at the point where I think I’ve been a little obsessive compulsive about running on a treadmill. Yeah, it got up to four miles a day, then it got up to six, then I got up to 10, then I got up to 15, then I got up to 17, and I had to take a break.” Eminem has also changed around his diet, mainly focusing on healthy foods such as chicken breast, one of his foods of choice.
