The Girl of the Month
Sydney Dy S Interview
MP: Do you try to find time to exercise when you are on vacation?
Sydney: Yes, I try to fit every amount of free time I have to find the most convenient gyms to exercise. On days where I can’t make it to the gym, I always come prepared with my yoga mat and resistance training tools so I can work out in my hotel room. It’s portable and light enough to fit in my suitcase.
MP: You spend your time between Los Angeles, South Carolina and Georgia. How is each of these places particularly special to you?
Sydney: Los Angeles is my second home because I can relate myself with the people and places there. I love the beach & that’s where I spend most of my vacation. Atlanta is what I look forward to when I come back home. I grew up in Atlanta my entire life so I value and cherish most of my experiences and memories. I find myself very peaceful and at home in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Growing up as a little kid, I was forced to move a lot in between the states. I have families living all over the country mainly in LA, SC, and GA. I’m very close with my families and I try to see them as often as I can. Because of that, I spend extended period of times back and forth and also because I love to travel and experience different things.
MP: If you had to pick one, which place do you like most and why?
Sydney: I would choose to live in LA because it allows me to open up to others and to fulfill my dreams. I love the beach and the atmosphere. The weather is beautiful and the people are fun!
MP: When in Los Angeles, do you ever run into celebrities?
Sydney: Sometimes, but I normally don’t run up to them. I’m pretty sure they need space just like the rest of us do.
MP: Is Los Angeles really what the movies or television shows depict, particularly how it’s depicted in Entourage?
Sydney: Well I don’t watch television that often so I don’t know much about Entourage. I like to watch news. But Los Angeles, itself has established the center of the entertainment industry.
MP: What's your idea of having a good time?
Sydney: I’m a risk taker and an adventurous person. I always like to try something fresh so anything like skydiving, bungee jumping, and scuba diving is entertaining. I like meeting new people, socializing, and networking with others is interesting. A good time for me means anything that’s fun, exciting, and is given me that adrenaline rush.
MP: How do you balance a social scene with staying fit?
Sydney: I try to hit the gym at least four to five times a week. I don’t really go out much often anymore unless it’s for special occasions. I’ll go out occasionally with my friends on the weekends and when I do I party hard. My tolerance with alcohol is pretty low so I’m more of a social drinker. I like to be able to be in control of myself. I like the feeling of waking up the next morning without a hangover and able to hit the gym.
MP: What kind of traits in a guy do you look for?
Sydney: I’m attracted to a guy with a great smile and a nice body. Most importantly, I look for a guy with an awesome personality and someone who is honest. He has to have a sense of humor and intelligence.
MP: What is the single biggest turnoff of a guy?
Sydney: Arrogance!
MP: What’s a better date: going out to eat or having him cook you dinner at home? Why?
Sydney: Cooking dinner at home. The fact that he’s cooking for me makes me feel special. If he can cook, that’s definitely a plus!
MP: If you had to debate about one thing what would it be?
Sydney: Deciding whether I should cancel my gym time versus making other plans.
MP: You mentioned that you like to "live life in the fast lane". What do you mean by this?
Sydney: I like to live Life by the Second, Not by the Minute. You only have one life to live, so why not live it to the Fullest? I take every second and opportunity I have to pursue my passions and my goals.
