Lobster
Lobsters are mistakenly thought to be high in fat. However, they actually have a low fat composition and it is the butter and creams which cause lobster dishes to put on the pounds. They are also a good source of protein.
Lobster meat contains 10-20% of the recommended daily value (DV) of vitamin B12 (healthy red blood cells and nerves), zinc (healthy immune and reproductive systems), copper (healthy tissue and bones), potassium (heart health and energy), phosphorus (healthy kidneys and reduced arthritis pain) and selenium (healthy thyroid, immune system and heart). As with most seafood, lobster is also full of Omega-3 fatty acid which benefits your brain and heart.
Lobster is a perfect selection as a substitute for more fatty meats when dieting. They are healthy, very tasty and provide energy. Adding the occasional lobster to your nutritious diet can help break the monotony of a bland diet and provide a healthy food choice to other nutrient-rich foods.
