Jennie Finch Workout Routine
Jennie Finch, known by many as the most successful and famous softball player in history, had a very dedicated workout and training routine to keep her on top of her game during the course of her softball career. No one could stop her windmill pitches.
Finch started really working out during her time at the University of Arizona, where she was a three-time All-American pitcher and first baseman and two-time winner of Honda Sports Award. During her workouts, Finch always used the product her dad designed, the Finch Windmill, to create muscle balance and to prevent injuries. Check out what the Finch Windmill does here:
In terms of Finch’s workout routine, she works out six days a week doing aerobic training for 45 minutes, and then interval training and weights for three days a week for 60-90 minutes. She mixes in long runs with intervals, and does stuff like her weight workout first and then her pitching workout so she goes into it tired. She does the Finch Windmill 5 days a week. Doing intervals is one of the most effective fat burning exercises out there. Constant sprints is a great way to boost up your conditioning.

In terms of her diet, Finch sticks with a healthy diet along with Supreme Protein bars for some added protein and recovery nutrients. Protein bars are a quick and convenient way to get some much needed protein. For athletes, one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight is ideal.

Jennie Finch helped lead Team USA to the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. In addition to dominating during the Olympics and at the collegiate level at the University of Arizona, Finch also excelled professionally for the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch softball league. In 2010, Finch retired from the sport of softball to focus on her family.
