How to Motivate About Success Through Sports Motivational Quotes

Do you know how to motivate someone? How do you get someone to believe that they can do whatever they want if they work hard enough? How do you know when someone puts everything they’ve got into what they are trying to accomplish? What do athletes that have won a championship, political leaders, successful business owners, and anyone that has set a bar and completed their goal have in common? They were motivated and didn’t stop until they achieved success.

Some people like to be challenged, some people like to be yelled at, but one thing that applies to all these people is sports motivational quotes. No matter what you are doing, who you are, or where you’re from, you can relate to sports motivational quotes because they apply to success. Whether it’s a coach or player, they motivated their teams and/or themselves to be the best they can be. Not everything about sports motivational quotes applies to just sports, in fact a lot of them apply to life as well. For example, ”Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it,” said Michael Jordan.  This quote means don’t’ let anything stop you not only in sports, but in life as well. No matter what you are doing there will always be struggles and obstacles if you are trying to succeed.

Some people don’t pay attention, follow, or even like sports but at the end of the day its just a job like everyone else has. The team owners can be compared to the CEOs, bosses, or business owners, the coaches are the supervisors, managers, or company coordinators, and the players are the workers or employees. So, basically anyone in society can somewhat relate to sports whether its your passion (like it happens to be for me) or not. These players, coaches, and owners are working towards one thing, and that is a championship or to be the best. When you work, whether it is in school or your job, you strive to be the best or get the recognition to get the raise you wanted or the grade you want, that is your championship. When you don’t get the grade you wanted or don’t get the recognition at your job for the work you did, you shouldn’t take it out on anybody but yourself.  At the end of the day if you want to succeed you will work through failure. Just like in sports, when a player or team fails and doesn’t become the champion they work in the offseason to get better and fix their flaws from the last year. Tom Landry said, “I've learned that something constructive comes from every defeat.” Life is a long trial and error process in which you will learn many lessons, like what it feels like to fail and those who learn from the failure and fix their mistakes will be the ones who are successful. The people who just sulk and feel sorry for themselves will never make it to that plateau and feeling of succeeding because “nothing in this world worth having comes easy.”

Another great quote pertaining to life as well as sports is
“without self-discipline, success is impossible, period” Lou Holtz made a great point here. This means that there is going to come a time when you will have to show some self-control whether it is after you just got fired from your job or failed that test that you studied all night, you will have to keep composed and not blow up or go crazy. You just have to regroup, gather your thoughts and emotions, figure out what it was that caused this failure, and fix it because if you don’t or let it break you down, you will never know about success. Not everyone is capable of going back and assessing where or when they went wrong or messed up and those people just settle for failure, but someone who is motivated and knows about success will not let that happen. Almost never does someone gain success on the first try, many people don’t know that Henry Ford went bankrupt five times before creating the successful business we have known for the last hundred years or so as Ford Motors. Another example of a rags to riches story is Paul Mitchell’s hair products. Paul Mitchell was homeless on the streets at one point in life but that didn’t stop him. Now we know him as one of the most famous hair care product producers on the planet.

In conclusion, success is by no means an easy feat, and most likely you will fail several times before you succeed, but that will make success feel even better. Michael Jordan said this, “I’ve always believed that if you put in the work, the results will come”, so if you put in the effort you will succeed.
