How Do I Not Lead Her On and Still Be On Good Terms?
Reader’s Question:
I know that this girl has liked me for some time now. She is very nice but I do not feel attracted to her. She has most of the qualities that I look for. We engage in conversation regularly but I do not avoid her because that would be rude. The question I am trying to ask is, "how do I not lead her on and still be on good terms?"
Girl’s Answer:
You should not treat her any differently from any other platonic friends/coworkers you have. That means not avoiding her, but also not flirting with her or giving her any special attention. Treat her as you would any other person. If she has directly implied or said she is interested in you, then it would be the most loving thing to tell her you don't see her romantically but value her friendship, saying you hope that this doesn't distance her.
