Hot Peppers
Capsaicin is the chemical in peppers responsible for their hot, spicy effect. This chemical causes the brain to produce large amounts of endorphins which are used by the body as a natural pain reliever and to stimulate feelings of well being.
Besides adding a spicy kick to a meal and making you feel good, hot peppers are full of other nutritious goodies as well. They are full of vitamins, A and C, especially the red varieties, which are used to prevent cell damage and boost the immune system. They are also bursting with vitamin K which assists with the proper clotting of blood, the strengthening of bones and anti oxidation of cells.
