I've been having pain in my right shoulder ever since I started doing cable crossovers. I only do about 3 sets every 5 days with not a whole lot of weight. These really seem to help bring out definition in my chest, so are there any alternatives to these that won't overstress my shoulder joint?

one thing i can think of is warm up properly. i remember one time i was doing DB lateral raises and i didnt warm up and i couldnt do any reasonable weight at all because it hurt so much.

Yes cable or machines in general are known to be bad for shoulders under heavy lifting, use manual weights instead of cable crossover. Same exercise, but better and no injurys.
