Randy Pausch, once the highly esteemed professor from Carnegie Mellon University, was the unfortunate recipient of pancreatic cancer and was given a terminal diagnosis of "3 to 6 months of good health left". Rather than removing himself from society and questioning "why him", one month removed from the poor diagnosis, Pausch decided to take his life lessons he'd learned over the years to motivate others before his passing. Pausch gave one of the most motivational, awe-inspiring, and riveting lectures ever, entitled "The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams". It is based on the premise of a "final talk" and what wisdom a philosophical teacher would try to impart upon others if it was his final chance. Pausch beleved that his final talk would encompass the concept of achieving your childhood dreams and enabling others to achieve theirs. His theme surrounds upon why brick walls exist, and it is for the purpose of indicating how badly you want to achieve what you want in this world. But rather than dispelling his ingenious thoughts in this text, it would be of a great disservice to you to skip the video below. I encourage you all to take the next hour and 17 minutes from your busy lives to watch Randy Pausch's Last Lecture below. It will change your life and your thought process: guaranteed. Although he is not with us to impart his wisdom through any more of his riveting speeches, what we can do in our power is pass his legacy onward. We all have the ability to be great and we can all heed Randy Pausch's motivational advice: always follow your dreams.
