This is a touching story and really shows the importance of family. Mark Ingram was the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner and former Alabama star running back. His father, Mark Sr., is in prison, the result of one conviction of bank fraud and a subsequent one for attempted escape. He jumped bail to see his son play in the 2009 Sugar Bowl. He is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2016.

After he was chosen with the 28th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints (the same draft pick his father was taken) the younger Ingram broke down upon hearing an email written to ESPN's Suzy Kolber.
