Change Your Values And Start Losing Weight Quickly

The point of what I want to share today is how important your values are to your weight loss.

 

Bear with me. I'm not going all foo foo on you here. This is real and if you make a connection to what I'm about to share with you, it will totally change the weight loss results your currently getting for the positive.

 

Just like anyone on this planet I have my own areas that are less than stellar in my life. At least they are not to the level I would like them to be. From past experience I know that whenever you are falling short in an area, the first step is get more knowledge about it. It's at this point I'd like to reveal this startling gem of chocolate goodness.

 

"If you are having difficulty with weight loss, it's because it's not high on your value list."

 

Please let me explain. As a personal trainer, health, fitness, flexibility, strength, cardiovascular and aerobic conditioning are very important to me. In other words, they are high on my personal value list. Because of this, my shelves are chock full of books covering every aspect of weight loss and fitness.

 

This means that because I value health and fitness, I know a lot about it and how it works.

 

Everywhere I go, I'm hardwired for opportunities to get more of it.

 

When I walk through the food court at the mall, I'm looking for foods that fit my highest values. I want that food to give me nutrition and be void of saturated fats and refined sugars so that I can be very fit and lean. Because it's in the top three of my values.

 

Now if someone else who's values don't have anything to do with proper performance of their bodies go through the food court, things may be different. Perhaps adventure is highest on their value list and so they try a new food regardless of what it contains. Perhaps their children being quite, stopping their nagging and thus peace and quiet are what they value at the moment and because of that, they give the children whatever they want and grab one for themselves as well.

 

You see, what you value is what steers your life and your actions. If you value weight loss and new living accommodations then everywhere you go you see houses that would allow you to go for a jog. They are the only ones you are looking for. If you value getting a new house and being able to walk home from the bar, then you are always looking for a different house.

 

The choice you make based on your values will have very specific outcomes over time in how your life turns out. The things you value most will rise to the top and you will get them. The further down losing weight quickly goes on the list, the longer it will take you to lose weight.

 

Until you think losing weight fast is important, it will not be in your life.
