Black Garlic
Black garlic is made by fermenting regular sources of quality white garlic. The fermentation process gives black garlic a sweet, caramel taste as well as concentrating its antioxidant properties to almost double the amount of its raw state. The antioxidants in black garlic assist with lowering cholesterol levels and decreasing the risk of cancer. The added advantage of black garlic over fresh garlic is that it leaves no garlic smell on your breath. Black garlic is a good addition to pizza, sauces and other meals and, because of its sweet flavor, it can even be added to cookie, cake and brownie recipes!
