2012 Arnold Classic Predictions

2012 Arnold Classic Predictions

Muscle Prodigy presents to you our 2012 Arnold Classic Predictions for who will round out the Top 6 in Columbus, Ohio. The Arnold Classic is recognized as the 2nd most prestigious bodybuilding title, only behind the Mr. Olympia, which is the title given to the winner of the biggest professional men's bodybuilding competition. The Arnold Classic is held annually by the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB) and winning this event is considered to be the second highest accolade in the sport of professional bodybuilding.

Below are this year's Arnold Classic Contenders for the 2012 Arnold Classic, which will be taken place on March 1-4, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio:

Muscle Prodigy's Predictions for this year's 2012 Arnold Classic Top 6 (in order) are as follows:

6. Ben Pakulski

This guy is a freak and is ready to launch into the top 3 of the Olympia a few years from now when he learns the nuances of the sport a little more and brings his size and conditioning in his upper body a little more. But Ben Pakulski's legs are absolutely insane. This is ridiculous development for such a young guy. Huge quads and calves with great vascularity proving for a razor sharp appearance. However, his biceps and triceps are not up to par. The lack of his arm definition is something that is going to hurt him. He needs to bring them up to speed when he does a standing double bicep pose. Also, his chest doesn't have as many striations as it takes to crack the top 3, but his shredded midsection makes up for that. Even with all the flaws though, he has enough to land him in the top 6 this year.

This is what Ben Pakulski (2nd- far right) looked like when he beat out Fouad Abiad (3rd Place) in the IFBB Flex Pro.

5. Lionel Beyeke

Lionel Beyeke has been training like a machine for this show and he is ready to land a top 5 finish in this year's event. He has enough size and great definition to rack up the points on the judges scorecard this year to sneak into the top 5. He has great conditioning in all of his previous shows that shows detailed separation between his chest and abs, and his shoulders and bis. He has concentrated on gaining size and if he comes in with that same conditioning as pictured below, he'll be a tough out.

He's got a lot of similarities to Kai Greene. We got a young star in the making.

4. Dexter "The Blade" Jackson

At 42 years old, the Blade's still got it. Out of all the competitors on the list: Dexter has the most aesthetically pleasing physique. If they really instituted the belly ban rule like they said they were going to, The Blade would win every competition. The reason why he's called the Blade is because of his cuts and the fact that he always come into competitions razor sharp like a blade. His abs are the best in the business and his back looks like a road map. This 2008 Mr. Olympia champ and 2010 Arnold Classic Champ has hands down the best body structure and flow of all the bodybuilders in this day and age, but came in with a disappointing #5 finish last year. This was mainly due to his lack of size in his legs last year. I think he will change that this year and improve from #5 to #4, since he stepped it up a notch training more and continuing his regimen with bodybuilding genius Charles Glass. However, it probably won't be enough to muster out a top 3 finish against the massive competition.

Have we yet to see a competitor with a better midsection than this guy in the history of the sport?

3. Dennis Wolf

"The Big Bad Wolf", Dennis Wolf, has one of the most spectacular physiques we've ever seen when he's on. When The Wolf gets dialed in, there is no stopping him. However, the native-born Russian had a bit of a down period in 2009 and early 2010, before rebounding to top tier eminence with a fifth spot at the 2010 Olympia.

If he comes in this sharp with his added size...uh-oh!!!

There was a ton of hype surrounding Dennis Wolf last year, with several people having him take it all in his first crack at the Arnold Classic in 2011. And he didn't disappoint with a #2 finish behind monster Branch Warren. We have him at #3 this year, because there is a rising star that is making some serious noise.

2. Evan Centopani

Last year Evan Centopani was the dark horse, taking off 2 years for the show in 2011, and he came up with an impressive 4th place finish. Centopani has worked his tail off the past year and is in a much better place than last year if you can believe it. Just take a look below where he is 6 weeks out of competition. He's always had mass, but he has recently brought his conditioning up to an entirely new level. Big things for this guy in the future.

Big things for this guy in the future, but for now the number one spot will remain as status quo...

1. Branch Warren

Branch has the freakiest vascularity of everyone on the pro stage. This guy has veins sticking out of every part of his chest, neck, legs, and shoulders giving him crazy looking conditioning. In 2009, he came out of nowhere and shocked the bodybuilding world with his super high finish at the Olympia (2nd), and he has been Phil Heath's top competitor ever since. The scary thing is that Branch Warren is known to come in at even better conditioning at the Arnold than at the Olympia. Something about the timing in March opposed to October. Whatever it is, Warren will reclaim his Arnold Classic title again. The only knock on Branch in the past was that a lot of people didn't like his structure and his body didn't flow as well as a guy like Dexter Jackson's does. But he has done some incredible things to change that up and now Branch has certainly tightened up his conditioning.

This was 8 weeks out. You think there's a possibility he loses? NO CHANCE!
