2011 Arnold Classic Predictions- Top 6 at the Arnold
Muscle Prodigy presents to you our 2011 Arnold Classic Predictions for who will round out the Top 6 in Columbus, Ohio. The Arnold Classic is recognized as the 2nd most prestigious bodybuilding title, only behind the Mr. Olympia, which is the title given to the winner of the biggest professional men's bodybuilding competition. The Arnold Classic is held annually by the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB) and winning this event is considered to be the second highest accolade in the sport of professional bodybuilding.
Below are all the winners of the previous Arnold Classic by Year:

The Arnold Classic, however, is not just for bodybuilding. Lots of competitions take place here...
Below are this year's Arnold Classic Contenders for the 2011 Arnold Classic, which will be taken place on March 5, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio:
2011 Arnold Classic Qualified

Muscle Prodigy's Predictions for this year's 2011 Arnold Classic Top 6 (in order) are as follows:
6. Toney Freeman

This man is 44 years old and still giving them hell. Although Toney hasn't taken a Top 5 finish in a little while. Toney has been doing this for a long time and he knows how to be spot on for the biggest stage (see 2006 Olympia). Look for him to show up great yet again this year for a 6th place finish. Evan Centopani is the supposed dark horse to get the top 6 taking off 2 years for this show, but him or Essa Obaid hasn't shown us that he's better than a seasoned veteran like Toney Freeman.
5. Dennis Wolf

"The Big Bad Wolf", Dennis Wolf, has one of the most spectacular physiques we've ever seen when he's on. When The Wolf gets dialed in, there is no stopping him. However, the native-born Russian had a bit of a down period in 2009 and early 2010, before rebounding to top tier eminence with a fifth spot at the 2010 Olympia. Some are picking Dennis Wolf to take it all in his first crack at the Arnold Classic, but we here at Muscle Prodigy, aren't falling for the hype. He'll take a top 5, but bodybuilding, like anything else, is very political, and Dexter or Branch are going to take it because of what their names represent.
4. Roelly Winklaar

Here's our dark horse at the 2011 Arnold Classic. This man stepped forward on the 2009 Olympia last year and blew everyone away with his size and conditioning; and with good reason. He trained very hard to get his Pro Card, and hasn't let his foot off the pedal to ensure that he's one of the best in the game. He beat Toney Freeman, Hidetada, and Dennis Wolf this year. His arms are absolutely insane and has a spot-on-midsection. While his 2010 Olympia finish was a disappointment and he came out flat, we have confidence that he learned a little bit better how to come out full for competition and he'll be ready to impress in Columbus, Ohio next week.
3. Victor Martinez
Victor, to many, seems like the biggest disappointment we've seen since big man Gunter was, just because we expected this man to win not one, but several Olympias. Victor hasn't proved to us that he'll ever come into the competition with the same size and conditioning as he had at the 2007 Olympia. However, this man has had some rough times he's had to face including having to prepare for the Olympia after the passing of his mother. Last year he even placed 6th when having knee surgery a year prior. Victor is good enough to get the top 3 nod here just because of his brand name recognition alone, but hopefully he got back into his training mode for this event and will up it even more to compete alongside Jay in future years.
2. Branch Warren

Branch has the freakiest vascularity of everyone on the pro stage. This guy has veins sticking out of every part of his chest, neck, legs, and shoulders giving him crazy looking conditioning. Last year in 2009, he shocked the bodybuilding world with his super high finish at the Olympia (2nd), and he actually came at even better conditioning at the Arnold at 2010 than he did at last year's Olympia. However, the knock on Branch is that a lot of people don't like his structure and his body doesn't flow as well as Dexter Jackson's does. at only 5'7", Branch has incredible muscular size and conditioning, however, Dexter just looks more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Branch Warren has beaten Dexter the last 3 times him and Dexter faced off against each other and won The Most Muscular Pose 4 times (a record), but I can't see him beating out 3x Champ Dexter The Blade Jackson. Top 2 isn't too bad though.
1. Dexter "The Blade" Jackson
The Blade's still got it. This 2008 Mr. Olympia champ and 2010 Arnold Classic Champ has the best body, in my opinion, of all the bodybuilders in this day and age. The reason why he's called the Blade is because of his cuts and the fact that he always come into competitions razor sharp like a blade. Ever since the "Belly Ban", the judges are looking for more cuts now, but certainly size hasn't lost its appeal; and Dexter still has the size to go along with his blade-like cuts- the best of both worlds. Dexter is 41 this year, but he is the most consistent and shredded on stage to give him a top 3 finish. The young guns like Evan Centopani and Fouad Abiad are coming up so quick, I think this is his last year to take it all. Dexter is 40 years old, but he stepped it up a notch this by training 5 days a week with bodybuilding "genius" Charles Glass; and Glass said that Dexter has looked better than ever now.
